Paper + Lens + Sneakers = Puree's First Grooming Experience
at The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines
“The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines' color scheme of blue and yellow is based on a psychological dog research. Colors yellow and blue keep dogs relaxed plus our room's aromatherapy oil flavor is lemongrass which is not just good for neutralizing doggie odors but for a dog's comfort, too.”
Honestly, I don’t have a dog, but I know it’s such a big responsibility once I own one. You must treat it like your baby and you got to give it so much care, love and attention. So for today, I invited my cousin, Joyce to join me and bring her Shih Tzu, named Puree for its first grooming experience at The Dog Spa!
Weeeeh! We are all excited for his makeover! :D
But let us first hear the woof-tastic story and get to know the people behind the most liked Dog store, “The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines!”
What does your dog need?! Name it! And find it at The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines!
In 2009, James adopted his first puppy, a Pomeranian named Pepito, then Eric got his own Pomeranian, Urvashi months after. “We wanted to be the best parents we could be, we went to different spots around Manila for our dog’s different needs: at a grooming center in the neighborhood, a dog food shop located miles away, and a pet supply store in another city. Then we wondered, ‘Where can we find an all-in-one, one-stop dog store that suits our needs?!’
Joyce, a proud Tomasian! Check out these cool Doggie clothes and shoes at the store! :D
Eureka! We decided to put up our own all-in-one, one-stop dog grooming and supply store. After months of intensive research and planning, The Dog Spa was born. Our first branch in Ortigas Extension was established in October 2010.
DOGS: We love it here at The Dog Spa!!! ^_^
Here at The Dog Spa, we offer expert Dog Grooming, depends on your choice for your dog. Our groomers have at least five years experience in handling dogs, and our employees are actually dog owners and pet lovers themselves!
Gossip Dog: "Cooper"
COOPER: I am just looking at how Puree looks like after the trim...*rawrf!*
Then we have a Day Care so you may leave your dogs if you’re going to the mall; and we also have a Dog Hotel where you may leave them overnight. Our hotel is located at Acropolis, Libis. There, we have separate beds and cages for the dogs, and rooms are air conditioned. Plus, we really take care of them and walk them thrice a day.
Also, to make it easier for you, we offer high quality yet affordable pet supplies here so everything that you need is found at one Dog Store!" --The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines
A happy chit-chat with Ms. Cris of The Dog Spa Philippines! Game! Let's have a DOGGIE TALK!
Ms. Cris tells us cool trivia about Dogs while Puree gets groomed at The Dog Spa!
The Dog Spa Tip #1
When feeding your dog, once it is finished munching, you must remove the leftovers to prevent your dog from becoming obese. But you must always leave them with water. Just make sure to refill it twice a day.
That's right! Arf!
Puppies eat three times a day. For adults (starting ten month old), twice is good!
Don’t feed them with chicken, most of them are allergic to it, and MSG is a No-No, okay?!
It’s also great to mix mashed carrots and potatoes to your dog’s food.
The Dog Spa Tip #2
Make sure to bathe your dog at least twice a week for good hygiene, but don’t use your personal shampoo on them! Purchase a shampoo intended for dogs because your shampoo has higher Ph level which is not good for them.
Don't be afraid of the water, Puree! :-D
And have your dog groomed at least once or twice a month to maintain its lovely look and smell!
The Dog Spa Tip #3
Just like a kiddo, your dog must play with other dogs. And synchronize your dog’s pee time with its walk time! Create a good schedule, dear parent!
The Dog Spa Tip #4
If you’ll take care of another dog, spoil your first dog with attention because it may get jealous, too! So human, right?!
Time for you to get dry, Puree!
The Dog Spa Tip #5
Say NO to cage! Don’t cage your puppy if you don’t want it to act wild and scary when it grows older! Let it play around your house freely so it gets used to interacting with humans. You wouldn’t want your dog to bark crazily at everyone, right?!
The Dog Spa Tip #6
Your dog may be older than you think! Multiply your dog’s age by seven, that’s how old it really is!
Family Picture, guys! Puree, you look so handsome on your new look! Yeah, that "good boy" look! :))
The Dog Spa Tip #7
Oops! If your dog hasn't mated yet, find it a partner and hire a “Shooter!” Yup, since your dog doesn't know how to do it yet, you must hire a Shooter to help it out!
PUREE: You're a big fan, now?
Dog Spa Tip #8
Dogs' ears are so sensitive so on New Year's eve, it's a good idea to leave your dog at The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines. You are sure that they will hear cool music, and won't get stressed by the loud firecrackers!
Meanwhile, here are some of the comments from their customers:

It's a very nice place! I don't really like going into any dog shops because of the smell but this place is different. It has a nice ambiance, courteous employees from the parking to the shop itself and surprisingly cheaper prices on most of their products and services! I hope that it won't change. Dog lovers paradise!

New accessories, new stuffs, new smell, new look of my baby Shakki! Thanks Dog Spa! I enjoyed shopping at your spa! I already tried your new branch at Q Plaza Mall, in front Sta. Lucia Mall. As expected, great service and quite nice parking area! Till next time!
So today Paper + Lens + Sneakers = Puree's First Grooming Experience at The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines! I saw the smile on the faces of Puree's family after his makeover! It was just really adorably cute, he is btw, a 28-year-old baby dog! Haha! It was amazing, and this helped me prepare before I take care of my own dog! And when I finally have one, I will definitely visit The Dog Spa and Hotel Philippines again! Thank you for welcoming us guys! :-D
